As Summer is finally rearing its lovely head we've been getting in all of the lightweight summer clothing we can find. We've got Rapha's brand new MTB-specific clothing, shorts from Patagonia, and Scott, along with a down-country race rig from Merida.
Merida Ninety-Six 8000
Kicking this weeks 5 cool things off is the Merida Ninety-Six 8000. You might have seen that we've reviewed the Ninety-Six RC 9000 and are wondering why we're testing another. Well, that's because this bike gets more suspension, a slacker geometry and more aggressive kit. We're curious to see how all of these changes effects the ride. Check out our First Look for more details.
Rapha Performance Trail Wear Collection
£75 - £110
Perhaps a long time coming for some but Rapha, a brand known for high-end road and gravel clothing has entered the mountain bike/trail market with the Performance Trail Wear Collection. We've got both men's and women's jerseys and shorts in for testing. Let's see how it all stacks up to the road collections.
Patagonia Dirt Roamer Shorts
In keeping with this week's apparel theme, our Editor, Jessica has a pair of Patagonia's Dirt Roamer shorts. They promise a contoured fit with stretchy, lightweight, and durable fabric designed especially for hot days on the bike.
Scott Trail Camo Map Crew Sock
Wrapping up 5 cool things for this week are Scott's Trail Camo Map socks. They get a specially shaped toe box and are made from an antibacterial, anti-abrasion material with cushioning at the heel and toe. They also provide a hint of compression to aid blood flow.
