off-road.cc's top reads 2019 - our most read content, reviews and features of the year

Reviewing our most read content of the year serves two very good purposes. The first is that we get to see just what content you, our readers, really like and secondly we get to re-read and remember some good reviews and content from 2019. It's a real mixed bag, let's dive in recounting our 10 'top reads in 2019' with the content getting the most clicks coming in at number 1.

off-road.cc's most popular reviews of 2019 - our top ten most read reviews of the year

We begin 2020 by taking a good look back over the mountain bike and gravel reviews that have been read the most on our site. These bikes are the bikes that have drawn in the viewing crowds in their hoards and been clicked on many, many more times than we have had hot dinners. Have a guess what comes in at the top spot and scroll down to see if you were right.....

Castelli Scalda Pro W gloves review

The Castelli Scalda Pro W women's glove is an excellent fleece-lined winter warmer. The fit is great and dexterity is pretty high too. They are pricey though, and the style's probably best suited to road and gravel rides – although there's nothing bar the look to stop them going mountain biking.

5 cool things from Specialized, Alpine Stars, Shimano and Lezyne

The final edition of five cool things is here and ready to bring in the new year! Between ourselves and road.cc, we've had five cool pieces of kit in for test each week, plus plenty more besides. The last is no different, we've got a tubeless CO2 kit from Lezyne, a Diverge from Specialized, winter gear from Alpine Stars and cold weather bikepacking shoes from Shimano.

Lezyne T-Drive multitool review

The Lezyne T-Drive is a beautifully-made twist on the usual multitool, with a removable handle and a compact softshell case. Whilst it works very well, it’s still larger than other multitools and takes time to assemble – making it less of a pocket piece and more of a display item.

5 cool things from Bell, Giro, Evoc, Effetto and Tifosi

We kick off the new year with some rater tasty kit including the brand new Bell Super Air R convertible helmet, a cosy Giro jacket, a new tubeless puncture repair kit, Tifosi glasses plus Evoc bike packing gear ready for your mountain bike or a graveller. For the first time in 2020 - dig in.....

Saturday Social - this weeks cycling news straight from our Instagram feed

All the news from around the cycling world, some we have covered in detail and some that we haven't managed to cover on the site but we reckon is still well worth reading about. 2020 team rumours are coming to fruition, Exmoor Bike Park comes under fire, Microspline gets rolled out to more brands and, of course, there is that new video from Danny Mac.

RevGrips Pro Series review

RevGrips Pro Series mountain bike grips are an innovative ‘suspension’ design that creates a gap between it and the bar, allowing a small amount of float aimed at combating fatigue and arm pump. They're a faff to set up and expensive, but they do absorb vibration without affecting control, so if you're suffering numbness they're definitely worth a look.

5 Cool things from Evoc, Michelin, Julbo, Shimano and Endura

Week two of 2020 and we have got another load of good things coming up on test. There's a sturdy but slimline waist pack from Evoc and some Michelin gravel tyres to kick things off, plus a all-in-one bad weather suit from Endura and some flash goggles from Julbo.

Dexshell Ultra Dri Sports Socks review

The Dexshell Ultra Dri Sports sock is a great waterproof option that's warmer than its competitors, fending off elements while remaining comfortable and stretchy too. Listed as a 'bike sock' if perhaps not designed exclusively for cyclists, the Ultra Dri is an ideal length for mountain biking and gravel riding.
