Video: Continental's shoe bike has really got sole
As far as whacky bike industry marketing ideas go, this new promo bike from Continental definitely has us tickled, doing without regular wheels or tyres, instead getting around on the much more soleful option of six shoes at either end.

- Video: Is it a van? Is it a ramp? For German pro Robert Heran it’s both
The bike and the accompanying video has been created to highlight the fact that Continental has paired up with Adidas to create the rubber for the latter's range of performance outdoor footwear.
Using what looks like a fairly normal plus or fat bike frame, each of the six spokes of the 'wheel' now has a size 9 Adidas running shoe at the end, attached via a regular two-cross lacing.
From the footage, it doesn't look like the smoothest ride ever - the rider looks like he's taking an utter kicking. In fact, we reckon heel probably be quite sore after riding it.
(We're so, so sorry. Feel free to continue punning in the comments)
