Nova trail
A short ride from central Bristol offers up some fast, flowing singletrack fun

The Nova Trail is a blue-graded loop that starts from Ashton Court itself. The relatively short length and lack of technical difficulty don't mean any lack of fun, as there's lots of fast and flowing singletrack to enjoy without any particularly unpleasant climbing.

The trail starts with a fireroad climb before you get into some undulating singletrack that winds very gently uphill to the far point of the trail. You then get to enjoy the 'Quarry Run' which swoops gently back down. It's great for kids and novice riders but more advanced riders will still have a lot of fun maintaining speed through the berms and trying to double up the rollers that are all along this section.

There's then a short but steep fireroad climb where you have the option to add in the red-graded Super Nova section, something we'd definitely recommend as it's a lot of fun. This spits you out at the bottom of the previous climb, so it's good fun to lap before carrying on with the rest of the trail, which continues to wind gently downwards, running parallel to the boundary way before returning to the centre.
