Renthal expands into the flat pedal game with the Revo-F
Renthal is best known for its Fatbar and range of MTB grips but has now stepped into the flat pedal game, with the Revo-F. It's designed to be super strong and is built around patent-pending internals that allow for easy at-home maintenance using readily available tools.

The new Revo-F is constructed for three things, grip, durability, and easy servicing and that's been done by crafting the CNC-machined 6061 aluminium pedal body with a two-axis concave design that Renthal says offers unrivaled on-trail performance. The concave design is actually cut into the pedal, as seen on the Wolf Tooth Components Waveform pedals, rather than just formed through pin height.
Speaking of pins, each side of the pedal then benefits from 10 adjustable pins that can be heightened using one-millimeter washers. For even greater adjustability, Renthal supplies long and short pins in the box with all of that offering pin height from 2.5mm up to 5.5mm.
Renthal wanted to allow the rider to use the full platform of the pedal, so the axle length is increased to place the pedal further away from the crank. So if you're a rider with a wider stand on the bike, the Revo-F should accommodate.
Internally, it looks as if Renthal has done something pretty cool. The Revo-F gets a unique axle system, according to the brand and it uses patent-pending tech that employs the axle to remove and install the Igus bush, so the whole pedal can be serviced from the comfort of your sofa.
The axle is built of Chromoly and it spans the full width of the pedal. It's home to three outboard cartridge bearings as well as an extra-wide inboard Igus bushing. A full contact wiper seal and outboard o-ring handling sealing.
Renthal's new Revo-F pedals are available in black and the classic alu-gold colour and are priced at £155.
