The MTBMeetup is a not for profit, social mountain biking event held each and every summer. It's the brainchild of Simon Bradley who started the event after a group of people who met through social media, got together and organised the first years event. After 5 years, some extensive work on Twitter and thousands of pounds raised he seems to have become the godfather of social mountain biking.
Simply put it's three days of riding activities, with the main event being on Saturday, including guided rides for all abilities, as much BBQ food as you can pile on a paper plate and prizes galore. You can get a feel for the event by taking a look at the 2017 edit below.
Already signed up for the event are Bird Bikes (who will have demo bikes on hand for you to try), Sixth Element Wheels, Broken Riders, Alpkit & Polaris Bikewear along with Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery supplying free beer and loads more to be revealed over the next few months.
There will be a Friday evening guided ride ahead of the main event on Saturday, with a days’ worth of riding to be followed up with some special evening activities to celebrate 5 years of MTBMeetup. Sunday is a chilled day of riding with whoever is still standing and pedalling!
There is no registration fee, simply follow one of the social media links for registration details:
