RockShox replaced the Revelation with Psylo
RockShox has been busy in 2024! The brand's latest addition to the lineup is called Psylo, a new fork for trail, all-mountain, and e-bike riders and it’s meant to replace the Revelation, Yari and 35 series forks.
It’s available in three grades for 27.5- and 29-inch wheels, with Psylo Silver R being RockShox’s entry-level option. It’s air-sprung and features RockShox’s proven Motion Control damper. Then there’s the Psylo Silver RC, slightly lighter than R and swapping the R version’s coil spring for RockShox’s Solo Air.
However, both these forks are OEM fitted, meaning the only fork that will be available to buy is the Psylo Gold RC, featuring a new damper and internals, and is notably lighter than the Silver models. There’s more news from RockShox beyond the Psylo however, including updates to Domain and Rudy, so check it out here: RockShox Revelation retires – replaced by Psylo.
Muc-Off made its portable washer battery-operated
The Pressure Washer has been one of Muc-Off’s best-selling products – and for good reason. Now, the brand has provided maybe a few more reasons by making it portable. So, no more looking for power outlets to get the mud and grime off your bike!
Muc-Off said that the Mobile Pressure Washer has maximum power that is 71 per cent higher than the previous version, while the water pressure is also 201 per cent higher. It offers two power modes: one high power setting and an eco mode which promises 24 minutes of cleaning time.

Fox updated its Transfer dropper post
Hot off the heels of last week’s 32 Step-Cast fork and fresh dampers, Fox has now revamped its Transfer dropper post with a larger range of travels and a smoother action.
The new post comes with all-new internals and a new sealing setup, and Fox also boasts a 62 per cent reduction in air loss. And now, the air chamber is located at the top of the post and that's allowed the designers to equip the new Transfer with a Schrader valve at the top of the head, meaning that riders can tune the return speed.

Hope launched a wheelset for gravel riders
Engineered for gravel riders and severe-duty bikepacking, the new RX24 wheelset rolls on Hope’s latest Pro 5 hubs, laced to alloy rims. The brand has used a 6069-series alloy for the RX24 rim construction, to balance the needs for low weight, ride quality, durability and cost.
The spoke configuration is either 24- or 32-hole, with the total allowable rider-and-bike weight rated at 130kg. The wheels themselves weigh in at 1,780g for the lightest build option, and pricing starts at £230 for a front wheel, with £350 for a rear.

Vittoria brought out its widest XC rubber yet with two new tyres
A couple of big announcements from the Italian tyre manufacturer this week, including a bold new tyre, the Peyote, while also adding another tyre to the Mezcal range. Both of the tyres represent the widest Vittoria XC rubber ever designed to offer riders reduced rolling resistance and rotating mass, without sacrificing braking or cornering traction.
There aren’t any changes to the Mezcal XC Race range other than the larger 2.4in casing sizes, offered in brown or traditional black sidewalls. The all-new offering, the Peyote XC Race, meanwhile, is effectively a faster version of the Mezcal XC Race. Its tread pattern is similar in theme to the Mezcal XC Race’s V-shape, but the skid depth is much shallower – enhancing speed.
Both of these tyres are available in 29 x 2.4in, an increase over Vittoria’s previous widest 2.35in XC tyre casings. To read more, click here: Vittoria has expanded the Mezcal range and added a new tyre, the Peyote.
DT Swiss unveiled its latest Ratchet Deg system
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from DT Swiss, but there’s a new freehub from the components manufacturer. The new Ratchet Deg uses the classic ratchet design but this hub offers a four-degree engagement angle with 90 teeth, making this the smallest engagement angle in the brand's portfolio.
The ratchets are made of steel and are bigger than previous models to cope with even greater power delivery than before. It’s available in two models, one classic build that's claimed to weigh 270g and can fit 12/148 and 12/157mm axles, while there’s also a 240 Classic Deg Red with a front hub with 110mm and 148mm spacing.
