There is some chance you may have had a bottle from a batch using the previous formula. Peaty's has noticed poor performance of its early sealant and has since changed the formula, hence why this review states that it's rather good now.

It's not often I feel compelled to provide an alternative review for something, but today I'm up for a rant. I bought this sealant on back of this review about 6 months ago and on it has consistently failed to seal anything. On a gravel ride in summer I had to swap an inner tube in for a small hole and today (2 days after topping up the sealant) I had a pinprick puncture that just did not heal, but I nursed home bubbling, pumping up tyre every 10 minutes. My conclusion after both these events was that the good part of the sealant (those speck particles) stick to the inner of tyre, so they are not available for plugging the hole. Also, the sealant appears to separate a bit with some thick liquid not moving around too much and thin milky leftover which is the majority of what squirts out. I've half a litre of this left and it's now going in the bin. Will try something else. Chris
