Spurcycle, makers of one of the loveliest bicycle bells it’s possible to buy, has just launched a titanium multitool that looks beautifully made and almost too nice to use for its intended purpose of tightening bolts.
The titanium multitool is made in the US from grade 5 titanium by Paragon Machine Works in California. It has a compact body with a sliding handle that offers both T- and L-form leverage, ensuring you can easily get to even the most fiddly of bolts.
The tool comes in a slim fabric case, also made in California, and is included with a range of chrome-coated steel tool bits, including 2mm hex, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, T10 Torx, T25, and Phillips #2.
It’s small and light enough to be easily stored in a jersey pocket during a ride. There’s also space in the pouch for a few puncture repair patches or even some money.
“Spurcycle’s Tool is the most recent collaboration of brothers Nick and Clint Slone, following the Spurcycle Bell, Key Clip, and Multi Pouch,”s says the press release. “Their focus—in addition to meticulous design—is to create products that don’t require a slick sales pitch but which encourage blatant favouritism.”
In the US it’ll cost $69, we’re just waiting for confirmation of whether it’ll be available in the UK because we bet there are a few cyclists who’d love to get their hands on it.
