New Fox Dropframe Pro helmet offers even more coverage
As with its Proframe RS, Fox has brought fresh updates to its Dropframe three-quarter helmet. Not only does this refresh bring in a new shell design as well as a bunch of features but it also brings a higher-end build to provide even more protection and enhanced coverage.

The original Dropframe made its mark as it kicked off the three-quarter open-face helmet design that we've since seen on helmets such as the Alpina Rootage Evo and we've even seen Leatt make similar moves towards the design with its three-way convertible MTB Enduro 3.0 lid.
But now, Fox has released a brand new model that importantly gets an updated design. This time around, the helmet stretches a little more towards the likes of a full-face helmet is its ear coverage extends toward the chin and reaches further down the back of the head. This provides more of a buffer against side-on impacts and hits to the back of the head.
That's not all as the helmet benefits from Mips, sorting the rotational impact reduction as well as a Boa adjustment system to help achieve a better and more comfortable fit. The brand has even rejigged its vent layout to increase airflow around the head and there's a set of big-bore vents that double up as eyewear storage. As usual, there's an Ionic+ anti-microbial liner as well as a selection of cheek pads to further adjust the helmet's fit.
The features continue and it's the stuff we're used to seeing from now on, including the Fidlock magnetic buckle and a removable under-visor GoPro mount that's thrown in the box. The visor offers three positions and there's room for goggle storage underneath. All of that meets NTA-8776 E-bike helmet certification standard.
The new Fox Dropframe Pro comes in seven colours and three sizes to suit heads from 52cm up to 58cm in circumference.
As for pricing, the Dropframe Pro will set you back £270.
