Nino Schurter secures ninth World Cup title in dramatic final
Last weekend's mountain biking event marked the final race of the 2023 season and despite the horrific conditions, Nino Schurter did it again and won his ninth World Cup title. However, that's not all, as the weekend's racing turned out to be a stellar show for Scott's racing team with downhiller Marine Cabirou returning after injury to end up in the third spot on the podium.
SRAM Code Ultimate Stealth brake review
SRAM’s latest Code Ultimate Stealth brakes push the lever design boundaries while retaining all the good bits we love about the braking system. Even though there’s nothing particularly new here (well, apart from the shape, aesthetic and HS2 rotor), this iteration has become my favourite thanks to the performance. It is rather expensive and heavier than other carbon-clad brakes and needs a precise setup and tune to work at its best.
Lapierre introduces third generation Overvolt GLP e-MTB
Since its inception in 2017, Lapierre's Overvolt GLP was created to break the mould that was set by current e-mountain bikes. Ride Concepts Accomplice Boa Clip shoe review
The Ride Concepts Accomplice Boa Clip shoes prioritise comfort over day-long rides. While it delivers comfort in spades and brings the convenience of a Boa closure to a relatively friendly price, it’s not without its compromises – the shoe is warm and rather flexible, and won't please everyone.
Gore Fernflow Liner Bib Shorts+ Mens bib short review
Unlike conventional bib shorts, Gore’s Gernflow Liner Bib Shorts+ Mens are designed to be worn under clothing. Thanks to a thinner-than-usual mesh build, they offer a second skin feel that’s breathable and almost undetectable to the eye. While the straps feel a bit too heavy-duty, they're up there with the best MTB liner shorts on the market.
Gore Fernflow men's shorts review
Gore’s Fernflow men’s shorts are built to cope with everything mountain biking can throw at them. Thanks to a range of handy features, they more than fit the bill and their pockets are absolutely cavernous. However, the closure is a bit overdesigned and they're pricey but still a good option among the best mountain bike shorts.
