Merida One-Sixty 600 review
The One-Sixty 600 is the most affordable model in Merida’s 160mm travel range but there are no shortcuts. It’s packing some decent equipment and the performance is nothing short of impressive, though it could stand to lose a bit of weight if I’m being super critical and I’d love to see a compression/climb switch on the rear shock.
Fizik Infinito X1 SPD shoes review
The Fizik Infinito X1 shoes are incredibly stiff for maximum power transfer, ideal for racers and pedal thrashers that don't want to give away precious power to a flexy sole, and the highly adjustable Boa dial arrangement and fit provides great comfort. Not so impressive is the high price, but if you can afford them they are a good choice.
Apidura Expedition Top Tube Pack review
A useful addition for bikepacking tours or on its own for commuting and single day adventure rides, the new waterproof Expedition Top Tube Bag is easy to use and works a charm, with more than enough space for all the essentials.
Marin Gestalt X11 review
If you want a gravel bike that doesn’t shy away from challenging and technical terrain but is right at home on the daily commute and long adventure ride, the new Gestalt X11 is a really solid choice. A gravel bike for mountain bikers, the handling and stability is a highlight and the dropper post, activated by the redundant SRAM left-hand shifter, is a bonus on steep terrain.
Specialized Diverge E5 Sport review
The £1,000 Specialized Diverge E5 Sport brings the US company’s latest adventure and gravel bike design down to an attractive price point and produces a package that works well in a multitude of uses. With the stock tyres it’s a solid and dependable road bike for road riding and commuting, but needs a tyre swap to open it up to more varied terrain, whereupon it’s decently capable for rough stuffing.
Giro Empire V70 Knit shoes review
Incredibly comfortable and supportive, stiff enough for efficient pedalling without killing your feet, breathable in warm weather and durable in horrid conditions, all wrapped up with some pretty unique styling, there’s a lot to like here.
Rose Count Solo 3 review
If you want a light and fast hardtail for getting into mountain biking that can handle everything from just riding to cross-country racing, and don’t want to spend an absolute fortune, the Rose Count Solo 3 is a very appealing choice. It’s also, in my opinion, a very good looking bike with a cracking paint job.
SRAM launches electronic wireless Eagle AXS groupset and Reverb dropper
Set against the dramatic desert landscape of Tucson in Arizona with all its cactus (honestly, it’s like something out of a film or cartoon), SRAM unveiled its brand new and eagerly anticipated electronic wireless Eagle AXS groupset and Reverb dropper post, which brings eTap style wireless shifting to the off-road world.
