The bike tool you didn't know you needed but now you want - Rehook replaces dropped chains
A problem we truthfully hadn't realised existed until we saw the launch of this product, the Rehook is a tool that is designed solely to refit your chain when it drops off the crankset. Thinking on, we have been pretty miffed by dirty hands and gloves after dealing with this mechanical, maybe we'll be putting the Rehook tool on our Xmas list.
In an ideal world, of course, the chain would never derail but it does happen from time to time, step in the Rehook tool. Whilst we can see its application in the mountain bike world, it seems that the Rehook tool is aimed at commuters or cyclists where the main priority is staying clean, rather your average mucky mountain biker.
We first heard news of the Rehook tool back in May 2017, where road.cc took a closer look. They told us that this was originally 3D printed the tool, but it is now made in greater quantities by injection moulding in the UK, is aimed at making it super easy to get the chain back on the crankset, all while keeping your hands and fingers clean.
The Rehook is essentially a lever with a hook on the end to pull the chain into place whilst the handle keeps your hand away from the oily chain. There is a silicone strap to attach the tool to your bike, as we all know how much we like fixing our tools to the frames these days.
You can also buy the tool online through the company’s website. It costs £12.99 and it only weighs 20g.

might survive as novelty gift but I doubt any serious riders would bother, especially at that price
