Mondraker's new Crafty Carbon XR LTD rocks rare Bosch Race motor

Mondraker has dropped the covers off its latest bike, the Crafty Carbon XR LTD. As you might have guessed, it comes as a limited run but not just because of its jaw-droppingly beautiful colourway but because it comes kitted with Bosch's Performance Line CX Race motor.
The new Crafty Carbon XR LTD gets everything that we expect from a Mondraker bike. That includes the Forward Geometry concept and Zero suspension kinematic. The brand has also used its known carbon construction methods to create the lightweight Stealth Carbon frame.
What's special about this bike, asides from that killer paint job is that it's driven by Bosch's Performance Line CX Race motor. The new motor is built to be more aggressive and more dynamic with more acceleration. It also offers a new assist mode on top of the usual 'Turbo' mode dubbed 'Race'. Switching the motor into Race mode results in 400% pedal assist. To compare, Turbo offers just 340%.
This new mode also has an Extended Boost option that postpones the assistance cut-off after pedalling for a longer period of time. This acts as an extra boost when tackling uphill sections.
It's not just about this new mode as the motor is built inside a magnesium casing that poses a 150g weight saving against the standard motor, says Mondraker. As for its remote, that's built into the Crafty Carbon XR's top tube and there's an additional wireless Mini Remote on the handlebar.
The rest of the bike is heavily inspired by the existing Mondraker Crafty Carbon XR platform, so the LTD bike gets Öhlins suspension with 150mm of rear travel and 170mm at the front.
Geometry-wise, it's very much 'Mondraker' featuring a 480mm reach on a large frame, with a 75-degree effective seat tube and 64.5-degree head tube angle. It gets a 455mm chainstay on all frame sizes, resulting in a 1280mm wheelbase on that large frame.
