What is the best bike packing route in South Wales?

mtbrider79

I'm planning a bike packing trip in South Wales in May/June and want to know the best route to take.
I'm thinking of a one nighter and really want to wake up with great sunrise views..... Where should I go?

Thanks in advance!

There's a couple of bothies in South Wales if that takes your fancy - good way to get in some overnights without being fully exposed to the weather. I've ridden past Grwyne Fawr in the Brecons and it's a nice little spot. if you were going that way you'd definitely want an overnight stay to be in some kind of built shelter unless you're Bear Grylls or it's a really dry, warm and windless night.

Purists probably dont think that's proper bikepacking, but you'll be warm with a stove and they wont.

This is a great resouce anyway: https://www.mountainbothies.org.uk/bothies/wales/

I've heard the Gower Peninsular route is good - http://www.bikepacking.com/routes/gower-bikepacking-loop/
Thanks Bikepacking for the route!
