Spacers and placement
Hi guys ,
I have a bottom bracket mounted chain guide , i know i need one spacer on each side but on the drive side do i put the spacer on first or the chain guide then the spacer ? also when i tighten the bolt on the crank ( Raceface Evolve cranks ) my pedals are very stiff to turn could that be anything to do with the spacer or the chain guide ? Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Check your BB mounting instructions, if you're putting a chain-guide on you might not need the spacer on the driveside as the chain-guide is effectively doing that job instead. If you have both a spacer and a chain-guide in there this could explain the stiffness of the cranks as the bottom-bracket is spaced a little too far out and the cranks are tightening down on it.
